Teen rapes and kills sister after watching porn, with family aiding in cover-up

Authorities investigating the April 24 violation and killing of a 9-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa, have discovered that her adolescent brother sexually attacked her after watching an obscene video on mobile and then murdered her, following which his mother and his two older sisters assisted in the cover-up, an official disclosed.

The authorities solved the case and apprehended the victim’s 13-year-old brother, their mother and sisters aged 17 and 18 after questioning of 50 individuals, intense interrogation of the accused individuals and on the basis of technical evidence, he stated on Saturday.

Supplying particulars of the case, Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh stated, “A nine-year-old girl was violated and strangled to death under Jawa police station limits on April 24, following which the police had filed a case and initiated an investigation.” “The body of the victim was retrieved from the courtyard of her residence where she was sleeping at the time of the incident,” he stated.

Following the intense interrogation of the family members, it was revealed that the victim’s 13-year-old brother had slept next to her at night. It was discovered that the adolescent boy violated his sister after watching indecent videos on the mobile phone, he mentioned.

When the victim threatened to disclose this to their father, the boy choked her and subsequently woke up his mother and confided in her. She then realized that the victim was still alive. Upon observing this, the accused again choked her, Singh stated.

Meanwhile, his two older sisters also woke up and all of them relocated the position of their bed before alerting the authorities to deceive the investigation. However, they ultimately confessed to their offense after being repeatedly questioned, he stated.

Further legal actions are being taken after detaining the boy, his two sisters and their mother, the official mentioned.

“The police received intelligence on April 24 morning that the body of the girl was lying in the courtyard of the house. Evidence concerning violation and murder were discovered in the post-mortem report and an SIT team was formed for the investigation,” Mr Singh stated.

In an effort to mislead the investigators, the family members had informed the authorities that the girl perished after being bitten by a poisonous insect, he stated.

The investigation disclosed that there was no indication of anyone entering the residence, and family members also refuted hearing any noise during the night, he stated.

“After collecting technical evidence and questioning of 50 people, police detected inconsistent statements from the family members. Based on suspicion, they were intensely interrogated, leading to their admission of the crime,” Mr Singh.
