iQOO CEO Nipun Marya discusses the brand’s four years in India, AI technology, and the upcoming Z9s Series with Gadgets 360

2024 is gradually shaping up to be the year of achievements for iQOO. The company marked its four-year anniversary in India in April, and just a few weeks ago, iQOO Connect, the official community of the brand, hit one million members. This accomplishment is quite significant for a brand that has not even completed five years of operations. Known for releasing a limited number of devices annually, iQoo is slowly moving away from that reputation and strategically expanding its product range.

This year has already witnessed the introduction of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, Z9, Z9 Lite, and Z9x smartphones. Now, iQOO is preparing to extend the Z-series further with the launch of Z9s. Prior to the grand unveiling, Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, engaged in an exclusive conversation with Gadgets 360 to discuss the current developments.

Reflecting on the brand’s journey in India over the past four years, Marya remarked, “The journey has been both challenging and rewarding. We have gained valuable insights about ourselves, our customers, and the Indian market. This has translated into substantial and consistent business growth, with a notable increase in our market share on Amazon and positive ratings and reviews. Additionally, several iQOO devices have emerged as top-sellers on Amazon, which is truly gratifying. The love and support from our customers over the last four years have been overwhelming, and our community has played a crucial role in our success.”

When asked about the iQOO Connect community, Marya expressed, “Surpassing one million members in the iQOO community is a significant milestone for us. Our community members provide guidance, assistance, and feedback, making the last four years incredibly rewarding. Despite facing challenges such as the impact of Covid, we are confident in the brand’s progress.”

Delving into the upcoming Z9s series launch, Marya revealed the names of the devices – iQOO Z9s and Z9s Pro, scheduled for release later this month. Emphasizing the performance, camera quality, and design excellence of the Z9s and Z9s Pro, Marya asserted that these devices will set new standards in their segment.

Looking ahead to the second half of 2024, Marya hinted at more launches in the form of Z9s and Z9s Pro. He highlighted the diverse range of choices that iQOO will offer consumers across various price segments, promising top-notch quality and performance consistent with the brand’s ethos.

In a nutshell, the iQOO portfolio caters to different user segments, with the Z-series targeting students and entry-level professionals, the Neo-series focusing on performance and esports enthusiasts, and the flagship numbered series offering cutting-edge technology and unparalleled performance. Marya singled out the iQOO 12 as his personal favorite from the portfolio.
