Former Adult Film Star Mia Khalifa Seen on Religious Billboard in Tamil Nadu

An image of former adult film star Mia Khalifa was featured on a billboard for a religious event in Tamil Nadu’s Kancheepuram district. The billboard, part of the decorations for the Aadi Perukku festival, showed Mia Khalifa holding a traditional milk container, a sight that was both confusing and out of context for a religious event.

The Aadi Perukku festival involves rituals and adornments in temples dedicated to Goddess Amman, an avatar of Parvati. In Kuruvimalai, the Nagathamman and Selliyamman temples were decorated with lights and billboards as part of the festivities.

However, one specific billboard stood out, featuring Mia Khalifa alongside traditional religious symbols, garnering immediate attention.

The billboard also displayed images of local individuals in a format resembling Aadhaar cards. Photos of the billboard were quickly shared on social media, igniting a discussion. Authorities were notified, and they promptly took action by removing the billboard.

Local officials have not yet provided a rationale for the inclusion of Mia Khalifa’s image on the billboard, and it remains uncertain whether it was intentional or an inadvertent mistake.
