Woman Discovers Hidden Phone in Restroom of Bengaluru ‘Third Wave’ Store

An employee of a renowned coffee chain in Bengaluru secreted a mobile phone in the ladies’ restroom, with the “video recording on for approximately two hours”. The event took place at the Third Wave Coffee branch on BEL Road in the city.

An Instagram account, ‘Gangs Of Cinepur’, posted a narrative on their profile, where a user recounted what transpired at the branch. “I was at the Third Wave Coffee outlet in Bengaluru… A woman stumbled upon a phone in the lavatory, concealed in the garbage can, with video recording on for around 2 hours, facing the toilet seat. It was in flight mode so that it generates no noise,” the narrative stated.

“The phone was carefully concealed in the waste bin bag and had a hole made in it so that only the camera was visible. It was promptly discovered that the phone belonged to one of the males working there. The authorities were summoned, and they arrived expeditiously, and measures are being taken,” it appended.

“This was so dreadful to witness. I will be observant at any lavatory I utilize from now on, regardless of how reputable the chain of cafes or restaurants is. I urge all of you to do the same. This is revolting,” the narrative shared on the Instagram account expressed.

Third Wave Coffee responded to the occurrence and stated, “We regret the unfortunate incident at our BEL Road outlet in Bengaluru and want to emphasize that such actions are absolutely unacceptable at Third Wave Coffee.”

The authorities confirmed that the offender had been apprehended under the IT Acts. The gentleman is in his early twenties and originates from Bhadrawati in Karnataka.
