Upender Reddy, a family friend of the deceased, expressed shock and grief over the incident, urging the Central and Telangana governments to take immediate steps to repatriate Teja’s body. He emphasized the need for enhanced security measures to protect Indian students overseas, highlighting the apprehensions and anxieties faced by students considering studying abroad.

#### Consulate’s Response
The Indian consulate in New York extended its condolences to Teja’s family and assured them of providing all necessary assistance. They are actively involved in coordinating the repatriation of Teja’s mortal remains to India, offering support and guidance during this difficult time.

Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal emphasized the importance of improving education facilities and opportunities within India to prevent students from feeling compelled to seek education abroad. He lamented the loss of young lives due to incidents like the one that claimed Teja’s life, stressing the need for a supportive and nurturing environment for Indian youth.
