The recent deaths of two women and a young girl in Kolkata have left the city in shock. Initial reports suggested that the deaths were a result of suicide, but postmortem examinations have revealed possible foul play, according to sources in the Kolkata police.

The women, who were married to two brothers, were found with their wrists slit. However, the postmortem report revealed additional injuries, including slashes on the throat that resulted in massive bleeding. The young girl, just 14 years old, showed signs of physical trauma with bruises on her chest, legs, lips, and head. The report also indicated that she had been poisoned.

The two brothers, Pranoy and Prasun Dey, lived with their wives Sudeshna and Romi Dey in Tangra. Pranoy and Sudeshna had a son named Pratik, while Prasun and Priyambada had a daughter named Priyambada.

The deaths of the women came to light after the two brothers and their son were involved in a car accident near Abhishikta crossing on the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. Despite sustaining injuries, all three survived the crash and are currently hospitalized.

Suicide Attempt Claim

One of the men involved in the accident claimed that they were attempting suicide and intentionally crashed the car into a metro pillar. He stated that the women had already died by suicide before the crash occurred. The police then discovered the bodies of the women at the family’s residence in Tangra.
