The First Murder in New Ashok Nagar
The first death was reported from New Ashok Nagar when the police received a call at 3 am about a man who had been injured in an accident near the Jal Board Treatment Plant. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the man had been stabbed multiple times and was profusely bleeding. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead.
Senior police officer Abhishek Dhania stated, “When teams reached near the treatment plant between Kondli Bridge and Dallupura turn, they noticed a large amount of blood on the main road.” A case was filed, and the police began analyzing CCTV footage from nearby areas for clues.
The Second Murder in Ghazipur
Later in the day, the Ghazipur police received a distress call reporting a man found dead behind a liquor shop in the Paper Market area. The victim, identified as 49-year-old Ramesh, had deep stab wounds on his thigh. CCTV footage revealed four young men attacking him, linking them to the first murder in New Ashok Nagar.
Connection Between the Murders
Through forensic analysis and video surveillance footage, police confirmed that the same group of juveniles was responsible for both murders. The suspects had initially committed the murder in Ghazipur while under the influence of alcohol before targeting a passerby in New Ashok Nagar.
Arrest of the Juveniles
Following their violent spree, the juveniles were arrested by 4 pm. It was revealed that the group had gathered at the liquor shop to celebrate a birthday when an argument ensued, leading to the fatal attacks on both victims.
