India strongly criticizes Pakistan at United Nations
India Slams Pakistan at UN Human Rights Council Meeting
India made scathing remarks against Pakistan at the seventh meeting of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council. Kshitij Tyagi, Permanent Mission of India to the UN in Geneva, accused Pakistan of being a failed state surviving on international handouts. He criticized Pakistan’s leaders for spreading falsehoods handed down by their military-terrorist complex.
Accusations Against Pakistan
Mr. Tyagi stated, “It is regrettable to see Pakistan’s leaders and delegates continuing to spread falsehoods handed down by its military terrorist complex. Pakistan is making a mockery of the OIC by abusing it as its mouthpiece. It is unfortunate that this Council’s time continues to be wasted by a failed state which thrives on instability and survives on international handouts.”
He further added, “Its rhetoric reeks of hypocrisy, its actions of inhumanity and its governance of incompetence. India remains focused on democracy, progress and ensuring dignity for its people. Values that Pakistan would do well to learn from.”
Reaffirmation of India’s Stance on Jammu & Kashmir
Mr. Tyagi also reiterated India’s stance on the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, emphasizing that they will always be an integral part of India. He highlighted the progress in these areas as a testament to the government’s commitment to bringing normalcy to a region plagued by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
Regarding Pakistan’s ongoing obsession with India, Mr. Tyagi urged Pakistan to focus on providing governance and justice to its own people. He criticized Pakistan for wasting the Council’s time with baseless references and spreading falsehoods.
India’s Response to Pakistan’s Misinformation Campaigns
The remarks by Mr. Tyagi came in response to what India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, referred to as Pakistan’s misinformation campaigns. Ambassador Harish reaffirmed India’s stance on Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that it is and will always remain an integral part of India.
India’s strong condemnation of Pakistan’s actions highlights the ongoing tensions between the two countries and the need for international forums like the UN Human Rights Council to address these issues. As India continues to assert its position on Jammu & Kashmir, the focus remains on democracy, progress, and ensuring dignity for all its people.
