Bayern’s Mueller says Champions League is ‘our competition’ | Football News – Times of India

BERLIN: Bayern Munich ahead Thomas Mueller stated on Monday the Champions League holders are “happy to be playing in our competition again” forward of their group-stage sport at Lokomotiv Moscow.
Bayern go to the Russian capital on Tuesday trying to construct on a 4-0 thrashing of Atletico Madrid in final week’s Group A opener.
“We’re happy to be playing in our competition again,” Mueller advised a pre-match press convention.
“We want to continue the flow we currently find ourselves in.
“We’re assured, the staff is in kind, the omens are optimistic.”
Bayern, who have won their last six matches in all competitions, have reached the Champions League knockout stage in each of the last 12 seasons.

Lokomotiv coach Marko Nikolic said his side would go into the game with a point to prove.
“Our perspective is good. We are dealing with the most effective staff in Europe, so what type of perspective can now we have? We are very completely satisfied for an opportunity to play towards such opponents,” he said.
“Scepticism is all the time there, but it surely’s not my job to reply the critics who do not imagine in us.”
The different match in Group A on Tuesday sees Atletico host Salzburg.
