In a directive issued to divisional commissioners and district collectors on Monday, the General Administration Department (GAD) has requested them to make preparations for COVID-19 screening and call tracing of individuals coming into Chhattisgarh from different states, he stated.

The directive was issued in view of the current spike in COVID-19 instances in some elements of the nation, together with Maharashtra, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh, the general public relations division official stated.

The authorities have been requested to make sure strict adherence to SOPs associated to COVID-19 screening for passengers at Raipur and Jagdalpur airports, significantly for travellers arriving from Delhi and Mumbai, he stated.


Besides, individuals visiting Chhattisgarh from states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and the Union Territory of Delhi, must be screened at railway stations, bus stands and inter state entry factors, he stated, quoting the directive.
