‘Home Improvement’ Star Zachery Ty Bryan Released on Bond After Arrest in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Zachery Ty Bryan, best known for his role as Brad Taylor on the beloved 1990s sitcom Home Improvement, has found himself in legal trouble once again. Bryan was arrested on New Year’s Day in Myrtle Beach and has since been released on bond.

According to police records, Bryan faces a second-degree domestic violence charge. He was taken into custody by Myrtle Beach police and later released on Friday after posting a $10,000 bond.

WMBF News is actively seeking more information regarding the circumstances that led to Bryan’s arrest, including incident reports and arrest warrants related to the case.

This latest incident is not Bryan’s first brush with the law. In 2024, he was arrested twice for DUI—once in February in La Quinta, California, and again in October in Custer County, Oklahoma. Additionally, in 2023, he faced serious charges, including assault, robbery, and harassment, stemming from a domestic incident.

In 2020, Bryan was arrested on domestic violence charges after allegedly strangling a woman who would later become his fiancée. He received a sentence of 36 months of “bench probation” and was mandated to participate in the Bridges2Safety program.
