Adobe has finally launched its Photoshop app for iPhone users globally, years after the introduction of its iPad counterpart. This new app brings some of the most powerful editing features from the desktop application to iOS devices, offering users a seamless mobile editing experience.
AI-powered features such as Generative Fill and Generative Expand, which utilize Adobe’s Firefly AI model, are now accessible on the iPhone app. These tools allow users to add or remove content from photos and expand them using simple text prompts.
Core editing and imaging tools such as layering, masking, and access to Adobe assets are also included in the Photoshop app for iPhone. However, some of these features will require a Premium subscription.
Availability and Pricing
The Adobe Photoshop app is now available for download on the App Store for iPhone users. The Android version is expected to be released soon. While the app is free to download, certain features are locked behind the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.
In India, the price for the new Photoshop Mobile and Web plan starts at Rs. 799 per month or Rs. 6,900 per year. This plan includes features like Magic Wand, Generative Fill and Expand, Object Select, Content-Aware Fill, and Advanced blend modes.

With the free plan, users receive 5GB of cloud storage to store their edits. The app also offers tools for combining, compositing, and blending images to create unique designs. Features like Spot Healing Brush and Tap Select tool help users remove distractions and make precise edits to their images.
AI-powered editing tools like Generative Fill and Generative Expand, powered by Adobe’s Firefly AI suite, are also available on the iPhone app. These tools analyze images to add or remove content and expand images beyond their borders based on text prompts.
Additionally, users can access a library of Adobe Stock assets to enhance their images. The app integrates seamlessly with other Adobe creative apps such as Adobe Express, Adobe Fresco, and Adobe Lightroom, allowing users to export their images to these platforms for further editing.
