The Bangladesh senior cricket team will reach Pakistan on August 13 after the political turmoil at home disturbed the preparations for the two-match Test series, the PCB revealed on Saturday. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has agreed to the invitation from the PCB in this matter. Bangladesh will confront Pakistan in two Test matches which are part of the ICC World Test Championship. The initial Test will be held at Rawalpindi from August 21 to 25 while the second match will occur between August 30 and September 3 at Karachi.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer expressed their joy that BCB had approved their invitation.

“Sports is not just about victory and defeat, it’s also about camaraderie. I am confident that the additional training sessions in Lahore will enable the (Bangladesh) players to display their skills and talent on the global platform,” Naseer mentioned.

BCB Chief Executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury appreciated the PCB for granting the Bangladesh cricket team the chance to have supplementary training in Pakistan.

“This will surely assist the players in adjusting to the conditions and preparing more effectively for the ICC World Test Championship series,” he stated.

Bangladesh will practice at the Gaddafi Stadium between August 14 and 16 before heading to Rawalpindi on August 17 to conduct practice sessions from August 18.

This will mark Bangladesh’s initial tour to Pakistan since 2020 when they engaged in three T20Is in Lahore and a singular Test in Rawalpindi.
