Civil Service Aspirant Dies of Electrocution Near Patel Nagar Metro Station in Delhi

New Delhi, July 22 – A 26-year-old civil service aspirant, Nilesh Rai, tragically died of electrocution near the Patel Nagar metro station. The incident occurred around 2:43 PM and was reported to the Ranjit Nagar Police Station. Nilesh, who was residing at a PG in Patel Nagar, was found stuck to an iron gate near Power Gym due to an electric current.

Upon arrival, police discovered the gate was electrified, possibly exacerbated by water logging on the road. Despite being rushed to RML Hospital, Nilesh was declared dead by doctors.

A case has been registered at the Ranjit Nagar Police Station under Section 106(1), 285 BNS. Forensic teams have visited the scene, and an investigation is ongoing. Further details are awaited.
