Details of Fire at Two Restaurants in Delhi’s INA Market

A massive blaze consumed two eateries in Delhi’s INA market early Monday morning, resulting in at least six individuals getting hurt – ANI revealed. The fire, which originated at a quick service restaurant, quickly spread to a neighboring eatery, causing significant destruction. As per Delhi Fire Services, numerous fire trucks were dispatched to the location to control the flames. A section of one of the restaurant’s roofs collapsed due to the fierceness of the fire.

Manoj Mehlawat, an official from Delhi Fire Services, disclosed that the fire brigade received an emergency call around 3:20 AM. “Seven to eight fire trucks have been dispatched there… Two restaurants were ablaze and six individuals are said to be injured… The reason behind the fire is still unknown… More than necessary commercial cylinders were stored in the restaurant, which could have resulted in a major disaster…”

According to the accounts, the fire ignited at a Chinese eatery and then spread to the adjacent dining establishment. The wounded individuals were promptly moved to the closest hospital for medical care. Authorities are currently probing the exact cause of the fire.

This development comes after a significant fire erupted at Veg Gulati, a renowned eatery on Pandara Road for Indian cuisine. The event occurred in the early hours of July 17, 2024. As per an official from Delhi Fire Services, the fire started at 2:48 am in the seating area of the establishment and swiftly spread to the first floor. Four fire trucks were utilized to extinguish the flames and the situation was brought under control within an hour. While some pieces of furniture and other items were harmed in the fire, no deaths were reported.”

The recurring fires at these favored dining venues have sparked concerns about safety measures in the city’s restaurant sector.
