Numerous individuals made fun of the city’s title, changing it to “Jalgram,” as pictures emerged of individuals walking through water up to their waist and water infiltrating homes in high-end localities.

Users on social media tagged the Gurugram Municipal Corporation, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), and the deputy commissioner in their publications, with some even tagging the Haryana government and the Chief Minister’s office. 

Individuals online pointed out that streets in neighborhoods like Golf Course Road, where luxurious apartments are located, had transformed into “streams.” Numerous criticized civil authorities for neglecting to provide fundamental drainage infrastructure, while others charged them with corruption in building endeavors. One user recommended holding back the pensions and salaries of the accountable officials and recuperating the damages from their properties.
