Initial Probe Reveals Shocking Details in Murder of Woman at Bengaluru Hostel

The vicious killing of a 24-year-old woman at a hostel in an affluent Bengaluru neighborhood has caused shockwaves throughout the country. The perpetrator has been apprehended by the authorities and is suspected to be the romantic partner of the victim, Kriti Kumari’s flatmate.

The accused, Abhishek, and the flatmate frequently quarreled about his lack of employment, and these disagreements often escalated. Kriti would occasionally intervene, exacerbating the situation. Reportedly, she proposed that her flatmate should distance herself from the man.

The relationship, however, deteriorated, and Kriti and her companions began avoiding him. Some time ago, Abhishek visited the PG hostel and caused a disturbance, prompting Kriti Kumari to assist her friend in relocating to a new PG hostel, and both refrained from answering his calls.

This infuriated him and ultimately drove him to murder Kriti.

The surveillance footage of the incident, which has circulated widely on social media, depicts the assailant entering the hallway of the paying guest residence where Kriti Kumari used to reside. The CCTV footage shows Abhishek approaching Kriti’s room carrying a plastic bag. Abhishek knocks on the door and enters the room. Shortly after, Abhishek is observed dragging her out and Kriti fights to break free from his grasp.

Abhishek, holding a knife in one hand, seizes Kriti’s neck. Despite Kriti’s efforts to evade being stabbed, the assailant succeeds in stabbing her multiple times. As Kriti weakens in her defense, the assailant takes his time and strikes her again.

Even after Kriti collapses, the assailant grasps her by the hair and stabs her. He then steps back from her, and upon noticing that she is still breathing, he attempts to slash her throat once more before fleeing.

Kumari is seen seated with blood on her chest and the ground. Other women in the PG hurried out, and upon sighting her, one of them was witnessed dialing what appeared to be the authorities on her mobile phone.
