Leaked Chipset Details for Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE Series and Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro Ahead of Upcoming Launch
Samsung’s Upcoming Tablet Lineup
Samsung is gearing up to launch its next generation Galaxy S series at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, but the company is also working on expanding its tablet lineup. According to recent reports, three new Samsung tablets are in development, and their chipsets have now been leaked.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro
One of the tablets rumored to be in development is the Pro version of the Galaxy Tab Active 5, which made its debut in January last year. The tablet is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 (SM7635) chip from Qualcomm, and it may be available in both Wi-Fi and cellular configurations.
The non-pro variant of the Galaxy Tab Active 5 was launched last year with an Exynos 1380 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE Series
In addition to the Tab Active 5 Pro, Samsung is also reportedly working on the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series, which is expected to include a base model and a Plus variant. Both tablets are rumored to be equipped with an Exynos 1580 (S5E8855) chip, a 4nm processor launched by Samsung Foundry in October 2024 as a successor to the Exynos 1480.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ are expected to be offered in Wi-Fi and cellular variants, with speculations that they will succeed the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, which was launched in October 2023.
Release Date Speculations
While details about the launch date of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series and Tab Active 5 Pro are scarce, it is worth noting that Samsung has not strictly followed a yearly release cycle for its standard tablet models. For instance, the Galaxy Tab S9 series was unveiled in July 2023, while its successor was introduced in September 2024.
With the Galaxy Unpacked event just around the corner, Samsung fans can expect more information about the upcoming tablets and other devices from the tech giant. Stay tuned for updates on Samsung’s latest offerings.
