On Camera, Jagan Reddy’s Party Member Hacked to Death on Busy Andhra Road
Further investigation into the case is underway.
Hyderabad:
On Wednesday night, a horrific incident occurred on a busy road in Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district. Sheikh Rasheed, a member of ex-Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party’s youth wing, was brutally hacked to death.
The attack happened around 8:30 pm amidst moving traffic and was captured on camera. The assailant, Sheikh Jilani, used a machete to carry out the gruesome act, severing both of Rasheed’s hands before delivering a fatal blow to his neck, eyewitnesses reported.
District police chief Kanchi Srinivas Rao revealed that initial investigations point to personal rivalry as the motive behind the murder, firmly denying any political connections to the crime.
In the aftermath of the incident, strict prohibitory orders have been imposed throughout Vinukonda town to prevent any unrest. The police chief warned that any attempts to disrupt peace would face severe consequences.
Further investigation into the case is ongoing, Mr. Rao stated.
