The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at multiple locations in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday in connection with a private firm allegedly involved in producing and distributing adulterated milk products domestically and internationally using forged lab certificates. The crackdown against Jayshri Gayatri Food Products Pvt Ltd and its director is part of a larger action against alleged food adulteration and fraudulent trade practices.
Raids Conducted in Multiple Locations
Searches were carried out at nine locations, including Bhopal, Sehore, and Morena, since early Wednesday. The premises being raided are reportedly related to Kishan Modi, Rajendra Prasad Modi, and others – the directors of Jayshri Gayatri Food Products Pvt Ltd, according to official sources.
Forged Lab Certificates Used for Export
ED officials uncovered 63 falsified lab reports that were allegedly used to export substandard milk products to countries like Bahrain, Hong Kong, Singapore, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The officials revealed that forged lab certificates were used for the export of adulterated milk products to various countries, and the searches are still ongoing.
Prominent Manufacturer and Exporter
Jayshri Gayatri Food Products Pvt Ltd, established in 2013 in Bhopal, is a leading manufacturer and exporter of dairy products under the brand name ‘Milk Magic’. In addition to packed milk, the company produces ghee, khoya, white butter, margarine, and more. The firm has a significant presence in both domestic and international markets, known for delivering high-quality dairy products to a wide customer base.
