Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav Set to Participate in Buchi Babu Tournament

Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav are scheduled to compete for Mumbai in the upcoming Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament against Jammu and Kashmir in Coimbatore from August 27. Following Suryakumar’s confirmation of his involvement last week, the Mumbai Cricket Association’s co-secretary, Deepak Patil, released a statement on Tuesday confirming Iyer’s availability for the match against Jammu and Kashmir. “Shreyas Iyer will represent the Mumbai team at the Buchi Babu Invitational tournament organized by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. He will be participating in the Mumbai v Jammu & Kashmir match scheduled from August 27 in Coimbatore,” Patil declared.

The Buchi Babu Tournament, a significant event in India’s domestic cricket landscape, will act as a pivotal platform for both Iyer and Suryakumar to hone their skills. Previously, the BCCI had urged Indian national players to take part in domestic competitions ahead of the upcoming international season, acknowledging the importance of match practice in sustaining peak performance.
