Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey’s Mystery Thriller is Stained with Blood

Rani (Taapsee Pannu) and Rishu (Vikrant Massey) return, diving deeper into their tumultuous journey in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. Directed by Jayprad Desai and penned by Kanika Dhillon, this sequel promises to further explore the lives of these star-crossed lovers. On Thursday, the makers released the sequel’s trailer. The new trailer provides a glimpse of Rani and Rishu attempting to move past their troubled history, only to find themselves ensnared in fresh challenges. Their quest for a peaceful life is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious man, Abhimanyu (Sunny Kaushal).
Complicating matters is Officer Mritunjay, aka Montu Chacha (Jimmy Shergill), a relentless cop with a personal vendetta who is determined to unravel their web of lies, betrayal, and deceit. As law enforcement closes in, the couple reverts to their old, twisted ways to stay together, raising the question of whom they can truly trust in a perilous world. The burning question remains: How far will they go for love?

ICYMI: The first film, Haseen Dilruba, featured Taapsee Pannu as Rani, with Vikrant Massey playing her husband Rishabh, and Harshvardhan Rane portraying her lover, Neel Tripathi. In that installment, Rani marries Rishabh, a small-town man smitten with her at first sight, but she senses a lack of passion in their marriage. Harshvardhan Rane’s character enters and alters the dynamics of their relationship, leading Rani and Rishabh to execute a plan inspired by her favorite murder mystery novel.
The sequel is set to release on August 9 and also stars Jimmy Shergill in a pivotal role.
