Travis Scott taken into custody at Paris hotel following confrontation with security guard

PARIS — Rapper Travis Scott was apprehended at a Paris hotel after a confrontation with a security guard, French prosecutors stated on Friday.

The apprehension took place following a report to the Georges V hotel early Friday to detain an individual known as Travis Scott for aggression towards a security guard, as per a declaration from the Paris public prosecutor’s office.

The hotel security personnel had intervened in a dispute between the rapper and his personal bodyguard, the declaration mentioned. Authorities are still in the process of investigating.

A spokesperson for the rapper mentioned that they were “in direct contact with the local Parisian authorities to promptly resolve this issue and will share updates as necessary.” They requested anonymity due to the ongoing inquiry.

The rapper was present in Paris for the Olympics. He observed the U.S. triumph over Serbia in the men’s basketball semifinal on Thursday night.

Scott, one of the prominent figures in hip hop whose real name is Jacques Webster, has over 100 tracks that entered the Billboard Hot 100 and released four singles that reached the top of the chart: “Sicko Mode,” “Highest in the Room,” “The Scotts,” and “Franchise.”

He has two children with his former partner, media personality and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner.
