Man charged for throwing lit Molotov at Sauce on the Side after getting fired


ST CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) — A person and a 16-year-old woman have been arrested after throwing lit Molotov cocktails at Sauce on the Side as a result of the man was indignant he was fired from the restaurant. 






Rashaad Cotton, 23, was charged with one rely of arson, fist and third-degree assault, armed legal motion and resisting arrest. He’s being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond.  




St. Charles City police officers mentioned 23-year-old Rashaad Cotton was driving round throwing lit Molotov cocktails simply after 6 p.m. Police mentioned the man threw a lit one from his automotive’s window in a residential space close to Cole and Greiner. It landed in somebody’s yard. He then entered a silver Hyundai Elantra with the 16-year-old and one other girl and drove off. 

Cotton then threw one other one at Sauce on the Side on Beale Street in the procuring plaza close to the Drury. Police mentioned a 29-year-old man was sitting on the patio and suffered minor burns to his thigh.

Heather Kraleman and her husband have been consuming exterior of Sauce on the Side in St. Charles after they have been caught in the mess of a person throwing Molotov cocktails at the restaurant. The couple mentioned it began after they heard a girl scream.

About 5 minutes later, police received a report about the Elantra crashing at to the Bass Pro store at North fifth Street. Police mentioned Cotton resisted arrest and officers needed to mace him to get him into custody. Two officers suffered minor accidents to their fingers making an attempt to arrest him. 

The 16-year-old was taken into custody. Police mentioned a 26-year-old girl and her toddler child have been additionally in the automotive. Her involvement continues to be unclear.

Police mentioned all of this was as a result of Cotton was not too long ago fired from Sauce on the Sauce and he was indignant about it. The first bomb he threw in the residential space was a check one to ensure the Molotov works.
