Ziona Chana leaves behind 38 wives, 89 youngsters and 36 grandchildren. As the pinnacle of an area Christian sect – referred to as “Chana Pawl” – that enables polygamy, he boasted the world’s largest household.

Ziona reportedly suffered from diabetes and hypertension, and medical doctors had mentioned that his situation deteriorated quickly as he was admitted to hospital on Sunday night. He was declared lifeless on arrival, the BBC reported.
The household lived in a four-story pink constructing referred to as “Chuuar Than Run” (New Generation House) with round 100 rooms in Baktawng, a distant village in Mizoram.
