Man with ‘world’s largest family,’ 39 wives, dies in India


The head of the world’s largest household has passed away on the age of 76 in India, in response to reviews. 

Ziona Chana leaves behind 38 wives, 89 youngsters and 36 grandchildren. As the pinnacle of an area Christian sect – referred to as “Chana Pawl” – that enables polygamy, he boasted the world’s largest household.

Ziona reportedly suffered from diabetes and hypertension, and medical doctors had mentioned that his situation deteriorated quickly as he was admitted to hospital on Sunday night. He was declared lifeless on arrival, the BBC reported

The household lived in a four-story pink constructing referred to as “Chuuar Than Run” (New Generation House) with round 100 rooms in Baktawng, a distant village in Mizoram.

The residence had turn out to be a serious vacationer attraction for the village, according to Reuters

The spiritual sect boasts over 2,000 members who all dwell round Ziona’s household residence. Ziona’s grandfather based the sect in 1942, permitting polygamy for males.

Ziona married his first spouse when he was 17 years outdated, and he married 10 ladies in one 12 months, Sky News reported
