Exhibiting superb form throughout the day, Sushila Devi first triumphed over Harriet Bonface of Malawi via ippon, followed by a victory over Priscilla Morand of Mauritius, securing an Ippon, the highest score attainable in a judo match.

Hailing from Heingang Mayai Leikai in the Imphal East district, the 27-year-old Judoka, born in 1995, is the second eldest among four siblings. Sushila exhibited signs of champion material from the outset, excelling in events from local competitions to the esteemed Commonwealth Games.
