Unlocking Growth: CMS Info Systems’ Q4 Surge and Expansion Strategy

In a recent disclosure, CMS Info Systems, a leading provider of cash management and payment solutions, unveiled a notable uptick in its performance for the fourth quarter. Their consolidated net profit surged by 14%, reaching ₹64 crore compared to the corresponding period last year.

This impressive growth was supported by a revenue increase of 8% year-on-year, amounting to ₹444.1 crore. Moreover, the company experienced a significant expansion in its operating margin, witnessing a rise of 280 basis points to 26.4% during Q4. Notably, the cash management services segment contributed ₹75.6 crore in earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), while the managed services division yielded ₹26.3 crore during the same period.

Highlighting its operational achievements, CMS Info Systems disclosed handling a total currency volume of ₹11.2 trillion in FY22, marking a substantial 22% surge from the preceding fiscal year. This growth underscores the resilience and vitality of cash transactions in the economy. Additionally, the company’s cash management network witnessed a commendable 10% year-on-year expansion, surpassing 113,000 points as of March 2022.

Rajiv Kaul, the Executive Vice-Chairman, whole-time Director, and Chief Executive of CMS Info Systems, expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance. He attributed the robust financial results to various factors such as volume growth, market share enhancement, increased activity levels, and the advantageous effects of operational efficiency derived from route density and automation.

Kaul emphasized the company’s commitment to sustaining its growth momentum, particularly in emerging business segments. CMS Info Systems encompasses diverse operations including ATM and retail cash management, currency chest automation, bullion logistics, banking automation solutions, brown label ATM and managed services, multi-vendor software solutions, ATM security software, AI-based remote monitoring services, and card issuance, management, and personalization.
