Harmonies of Love: The Rise of Bespoke Bridal Anthems in Bollywood Weddings

In the glimmering world of Bollywood, a trend blossoms amidst the sacred vows of matrimony, championed by luminaries—a trend that infuses a bespoke essence into their nuptials.

From the dulcet tones of Parineeti Chopra to the mesmerizing melodies of Surbhi Chandna, celebrities now grace their bridal entry with self-composed songs, transforming their momentous occasion into a symphony of sentiments.

Newlywed luminaries Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat took to social platforms to unveil their bespoke anthem, “Turr Chaliyan,” marking their union.

“Crafting personalized anthems for couples’ unions is a voyage brimming with innovation and excitement,” expresses Shrey Bhagat, founder, and creative mind behind Raabta, a distinguished wedding photography and cinematography enterprise. “It allows us artistic liberty to immortalize their journey effectively, ensuring seamless integration into their wedding chronicle,” he adds.

Parineeti, in her union with politician Raghav Chadha, serenaded with “O Piya,” a heartfelt ode to their love, blending Hindi and Punjabi verses. Meanwhile, a producer penned a poignant tribute to his journey with Rakul Preet, “Bin Tere,” which not only adorned her bridal entry but also became a viral sensation, courtesy of the musical prowess of composer Tanishk Bagchi.

“This composition wasn’t originally intended for weddings,” remarks lyricist Mayur Puri, “but its adoption by couples elevates it to a cherished memory, ensuring its eternal presence,” he adds, emphasizing the symbiosis between personal narratives and viral culture.

Surbhi Chandna, too, painted a romantic tableau with her rendition of “Kahani Suno.” It was a spontaneous outpouring of affection that captivated audiences and transcended into a full-fledged release.

Reflecting on this burgeoning trend, Bhagat opines, “The surge in personalized anthems underscores couples’ yearning for individuality. Their active involvement in the songwriting process, infused with personal anecdotes and preferences, imparts an indelible mark on the composition. Whether as the bride’s grand entrance or a couple’s performance, these bespoke melodies weave seamlessly into the fabric of celebrations, enriching them with an authenticity that commercial tracks often lack, thus becoming an indispensable aspect of modern weddings.”
