Lee Fixel’s Addition Leads $14 Million Investment in SuperOps.ai: Revolutionizing Professional Services Automation

Venture capitalist Lee Fixel’s firm, Addition, has spearheaded a $14 million investment drive into the professional services automation startup SuperOps.ai alongside Tanglin Venture Partners.

The funding round saw participation from existing backers Matrix Partners and Elevation Capital, in addition to several individual angel investors. Fixel, known for his early support of Flipkart, will now assume an advisory and board observer role within the company.

Established in 2020 by former Tiger Global executives Arvind Parthiban and Jayakumar Karumbasalam, SuperOps.ai is a platform specializing in professional service automation and remote monitoring and management. It offers a unified interface for helpdesk support, monitoring, IT documentation, and project management, employing artificial intelligence to aid in ticket prioritization and workflow management.

The funds secured in this round will be allocated towards expanding the company’s go-to-market teams, extending its current offerings to new clientele, and broadening its geographical footprint.

With nearly 36 paying clients already onboard, SuperOps.ai is set to launch its product suite, which has been in beta testing for the past six months.

Parthiban expressed the company’s continued focus on mid-market clients with technical teams of up to 10 technicians, citing the ease of launching new products on the integrated platform. SuperOps.ai aims to generate $1 million in revenue by the end of 2022 and $18 million within the next three years.

SuperOps.ai identifies challenges faced by managed service providers (MSPs) in meeting the evolving technological needs of their clients while managing multiple tools and platforms. By offering a unified platform, SuperOps.ai aims to deliver a seamless experience to clients.

Targeting expansion in English-speaking markets such as the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Canada, SuperOps.ai plans to launch in six international markets by the end of the year, with a particular focus on the US and India. Future expansion includes plans to establish a presence in Mexico and South America by 2023.

Lee Fixel of Addition expressed enthusiasm for supporting SuperOps.ai’s mission to revolutionize the MSP space through AI and automation. He praised the team’s commitment to innovation and solutions-oriented approach, emphasizing their role in driving digital transformation within the MSP market.

Previously, SuperOps.ai secured $3 million in seed funding in May last year, led by Elevation Capital and Matrix Partners India.

Tarun Davda, managing director at Matrix India, commended Parthiban and Karumbasalam’s expertise in the MSP market and lauded SuperOps.ai’s product development efforts, highlighting the positive feedback from customers. Matrix India reaffirmed its investment in SuperOps.ai, welcoming Addition and Tanglin Venture Partners to the partnership.
