Vuulr Launches Brandable Screening Rooms for Content Sellers

Vuulr, the leading global online marketplace for film and television rights, has unveiled a new feature called ‘brandable screening rooms.’ These rooms enable studios, distributors, production houses, and independent content creators to showcase their content for free.

Content creators can create their own personalized screening rooms, complete with logos, company descriptions, and URLs, providing a seamless experience for rights holders.

The company aims to enhance the deal-closing process by making it more efficient and reducing barriers. After watching a screener, a potential buyer can easily check the availability of rights and make an acquisition offer.

Ian McKee, the founder and CEO of Vuulr, emphasized the importance of screenings in the content discovery journey. He stated, “Screenings should be an integral part of the process that transforms buyer interest into a concrete deal. By integrating Screening Room functionality into the Vuulr marketplace, we’re focused on making content acquisition faster and more straightforward.”

For buyers, the service is free to use, while sellers are not required to pay any upfront costs. Commission fees are only applicable upon successful transactions.

Vuulr boasts a diverse range of content, with over 135,000 hours listed in more than 60 genres and 70 languages. The platform has facilitated nearly 1,400 licensing deals in the past 14 months, attracting over 5,000 buyers and 10,000 registered users.

From animated shorts to multi-season dramas, Vuulr offers a wide array of content from nearly 100 territories, catering to the global audience’s preferences.

Notable sellers on the platform include Sony, Legendary Television, Gaumont, Televisa, Viacom 18, CNN, Caracol, as well as independent creators. Among the registered buyers are industry giants such as The Walt Disney Company, Viacom International Media Networks, Turner International Asia Pacific, BBC, Super RTL, Public Media Co Vietnam, Astro, MX Player, UKTV, and SBS.

Vuulr’s platform is known for its efficiency, with licensing transactions typically closing within 10 days on average.
