In a whirlwind of joy, Hilary Duff celebrates the arrival of her fourth bundle of joy, a darling daughter named Townes, with her husband Matthew Koma. The announcement came on Tuesday via Instagram, where the 36-year-old actress shared glimpses of her serene home water birth.

“Tenderly embracing our little Townes Meadow Bair 🧸, we finally understand her perfect timing… Those cheeks were worth the wait!” penned Duff, expressing her heartfelt delight. “I’ve yearned to cradle you in my arms for months, and these past 5 days of discovery, gazing, and inhaling your sweet essence have been pure enchantment.”

“Your presence fills our hearts as if you’ve been with us forever, sweet beauty. 5/3/24,” she added, signing off her post as a proud mother of four.

Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma already share the joys of parenthood with daughters Mae James, 2½, and Banks Violet, 5, while Luca Cruz, 11, from Duff’s previous marriage with Mike Comrie, completes their lively family.

The anticipation for their latest addition was hinted at in December 2023 through the Duff-Bair-Comrie family Christmas card, in which Duff cradled her growing belly, playfully declaring, “No silent nights here! Reflecting on the chaotic yet fulfilling experience of raising three kids, Duff shared her sentiments with PEOPLE in 2021. “Babies seek their mom’s comfort, no matter what. Even Luca still calls out, ‘Mom, Mom, Mom.’ Mom knows the perfect way to prepare a meal and pack a bag. It’s a whirlwind.”
