Dive into Apple’s WWDC 2023: Is Your iPhone or iPad Ready for the iOS17 Upgrade?

The curtains lifted on Apple’s much-anticipated developer’s conference with a sneak peek into iOS 17, the next-gen operating system for iPhones. Among the highlights of iOS 17 showcased on day one were enhancements to core iPhone features like Phone, FaceTime, and Messages, promising a more seamless user experience. Notably, AirDrop gets a boost for easier sharing, while the keyboard gets smarter for faster and more accurate typing.

Standing tall in the lineup of new features is Standby, offering users a fresh perspective on glanceable information while their iPhones are charging. Also stealing the spotlight is Journal, an app dedicated to nurturing gratitude, introducing users to a novel experience.

While developers can dive into the beta version of iOS 17, available exclusively to Apple Developer Program members, the general public can expect the public beta to roll out next month. Scheduled for a fall release, the new software will be a complimentary update for iPhone Xs and later models. Here’s a rundown of iPhones compatible with iOS 17:

This revamped operating system introduces a redesigned Lock Screen, interactive widgets, and a host of intelligent features in PDFs and Notes. With updates to Messages, FaceTime, Safari, and the introduction of the Health app, Apple is set to redefine the iPad experience.
