An imminent unveiling of the Realme GT Neo 6 series, comprising at least a duo of fresh devices, looms on the horizon. Despite the absence of official declarations regarding nomenclature or debut particulars from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, a disclosure from a Chinese insider offers insights into the chipsets purportedly adorning the Realme GT Neo 6 and Realme GT Neo 6 SE. In yesteryear, the Realme GT Neo 5 made its debut, boasting a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 System on Chip (SoC). Conversely, the Realme GT Neo 5 SE derived its power from a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC.
According to information disseminated by Digital Chat Station, a Weibo user known for sharing tech insights, the forthcoming Realme GT Neo 6 series will integrate Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoCs. These devices are anticipated to boast displays featuring a resolution of 1.5K and will also support rapid 100W wired charging.
The aforementioned informant refrained from explicitly delineating the allocation of processors to specific models. However, speculation is rife that the Realme GT Neo 6 will harness the prowess of the Snapdragon 8 series chip, while the Realme GT Neo 6 SE variant might be propelled by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. The Realme GT Neo 5 made its debut in China back in February, offering a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a choice between two charging configurations. The variant endowed with 240W fast charging support bears a price tag of CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs. 39,000) for the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the 150W variant commences at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 30,400) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage iteration. Subsequently, Realme introduced the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, in April, with an initial price point of CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 24,000) for the base 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model.
Both the Realme GT Neo 5 and Realme GT Neo 5 SE flaunt expansive 6.74-inch 1.5K displays boasting a refreshing 144Hz rate. They are outfitted with triple rear camera arrays and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The Realme GT Neo 5 comes equipped with a 4,600mAh battery in the 240W variant, while the 150W variant boasts a 5,000mAh battery. Realme has endowed the Realme GT Neo 5 SE with a 5,500mAh battery accompanied by 100W fast charging support.
